We made a short trip to Walla Walla this year. Normally we visit in July when the weather is nice and hot and everyone is on summer vacation. This year, we had to go early because of traveling too late in the pregnancy.
We spent three days in Walla Walla this time. Cedric was the center of attention and he loved it. We spent most of the day outside and playing. Cedric even got two old Tonka trucks- a crane and a dirt mover.
These are really cool and special. My grandpa Klundt bought them long ago for my uncle (my dad's brother). When my dads friend had a boy, my grandpa passed the crane and truck onto him. Not long ago, my dads friend decided to bring the trucks back and give them to Cedric. They are in incredible shape and Cedric is lucky to have a toy that has been passed down in the family.
While there, we always have to go to Rogers Bakery for donuts. They make the best donuts ever. When my dad would take us to school as kids, he would stop to get donuts on the way sometimes. I love sharing this place with Cedric.
The kid loves to mow lawns and being able to ride on the tractor lawn mower was no exception. The only problem was that my dad had to slow down to a turtle speed to cut the lawn instead of his usually fast pace. Cedric loved it though.
At the park we threw sticks and floating objects into the water and watched it go under the bridge.
We visited and spent a lot of time with Cedric's great grandparents. They love to watch him play and just get into trouble.
They were finding their noses- Cedric loves noses!
And the pool- a bit cold, but the kid loved the water. Here he is helping daddy clean out the bugs. He got his own shovel and scooped along beside dad.
Jumping in the pool was the best part of the pool.
The kid loved visiting Walla Walla and being able to play. It was a fun trip there. Next stop was driving across the state to north of Seattle to visit his aunt, uncle, and cousin.
