Today I am very thankful for anyone who has served to protect our country.
I personally could not be in the military and put my life in danger. It is not something that I have ever had to do or think about. Someone else is right now out there doing it for me, and they don't even know me!
It is amazing to know that my grandpa was in the Navy, thank you grandpa for serving our country. My friend Karen has a dad and brother who have been to Iraq, thank you. And most recently, a dear friend from my hometown was lost while serving in Afghanistan.
The stories are unique, they are brave, and for something being done so far away (or in the past) we do not have to stop and think about it enough. I truly do thank any and all veterans who serve our country so that we can continue to live in this wonderful place.
