Camp

We (meaning my class) just returned from camp up in the mountains. The kids had a great time. It is a great program, first off it is meant to take inner city kids to the mountains when they might not usually go. Second off, most fifth graders don't leave home for a few days during a school week. So, it is really neat. They spend three days hiking around the mountains and getting lessons in the great outdoors from some very neat instructors. It is a teachers dream, three days to relax while someone else teaches your students.

My entire class, I took all my kids with us to camp, that means each on got to be apart of the great experience. So cool!

I am ready though to have a complete year between our trips, it seems like we just did this trip as we went last March. Now I can wait un til November. You know one of the best parts of the trip, when the instructor came up to me and said that she was honestly going to miss my class. She said that she usually doesn't wish a group could stay, but she did about my kids. That must mean I am truly lucky to have this class. I love it when an outside source can remind me of what I am lucky for each day.
