I can honestly say that my days this year with my class have been filled with so much learning (mostly on their part), activities that make school fun, and mostly with laughter. This group LOVES to laugh. Here are some recent quotes I thought I would share:
Ruben: Mrs. Olson, I almost got expelled today by the principal.
Me: Why? What did you do?
Ruben: Because I brought my guns to school (proceeding to flex and check out his BIG muscles)
Me: What did you think of the book?
Sergio: I'm sorry, Sergio isn't home right now, if you please leave a message I will get back to you as soon as I can....BEEEEEEEEEEP!
Me: If Sergio doesnt answer he will be in for recess
Sergio: Sorry Mrs. Olson, I almost missed your call....
Student: Oh my god, oh my god......(worried about finishing his work to get his recess back)
Me: You should be careful about saying that as it can offend people
Student: Who? I dont get you Miss.
Mark: I know who it offends, God right miss?
Needless to say that my day is never boring and with their smiles and their laughs I can't help but always looking forward to seeing them each day. Amazingly, they are growing so much as readers and at math that it makes me so happy on all accounts for these kids to be successful. I hope they entertained you right now as much as they entertain me.
