New Years Adventures!

I have to say, anymore the start to our new year is one of my favorite and most looked forward to time of year. You see, it is when our college friends come and visit for good laughs, games at the cabin, and of course skiing. It has turned into a sort of tradition now as we have spent New Year's Eve together for the beginning of 2009, 2010, and now 2011. Here is a (hopefully) brief recap of our adventures into 2011 this year.

It all started when Keith got a delayed flight into Denver and we decided to go bowling. It was snowing and it was nice to just get out while we waited on the last friend to come. In this picture you can't really tell, but we had a "beer frame" or rather a frame where we all got strikes. It's funny as we have never actually accomplished this. So, here are Curt, Noah, and I with our proof.
Next, we headed up to the mountains. It was FREEZING, like -20 or less with windchill. Needless to say our time was mostly inside playing games. We did venture out to the park one afternoon and played on the kids play structure. It was fun to jump off the swings!

Curt may have fallen over!Aspen pup, she was really cold but LOVES the snow

On New Year's Eve we all headed out to a brewery for dinner. It is so great to see these people each year. We did miss James and Paul, but they got a midnight phone call that I think they enjoyed. Curt, me, Keith, Heather, Peter, Tim, Kaleigh, and Noah at dinnerThen on New Year's Day, despite our best judegment and the -20 temperature, we decided to ski at Keystone. It turned out great. It was cold, but we got tons of runs in as we never waited in a single line. Other people must of been detered by the snow. Good for us! All of us skiing, you can't tell becuase we are so bundled, but we have Noah, me, Tim, Heather, Peter, Curt and Keith. It was fabulous! And the last night with just the Whitworth group. You know, Curt is lucky to have such great friends but each time I see them I only love spending time them more. It would be fun to spend more than New Year's together and live near them. But, when we get together we create such great memories and just have the best time. I wouldn't trade that for anything! I am excited, we get to see everyone sooner now, in May, thanks for a California wedding. Congrats Peter and Heather!
