Backyard- Before and After

A couple weeks ago, Curt and I finally decided to do our patio in the backyard

We have always wanted a larger patio in which to enjoy summer nights. We are so happy we did it!

When we first moved in, there was a large tree (we took it out), a brick patio, and railroad ties.

The area was too small, we made it work, but with the kids stuff we always felt overrun by toys.

The company came in and removed all existing concrete and the mess. It was more than three dump trucks! They leveled the area and made the slope to the side of the house more manageable. We also decided to have them double the concrete on the side of our house so we could easily move things from the front to backyard. 

And now we have over double our patio space! The area feels cohesive and the space is so nice. They kept Cedric's dirt box in which he is still able to play all day in with his trucks. Now he just has concrete edging to it and he loves it. 

We are so glad we finally did this!
