And just like that, another school year has ended and I am on summer break!
My last day with kids was last Wednesday when the fifth graders have continuation and a big celebration.
These were the girls, all dressed up and ready for their day.
My sixth class of fifth graders. This group was hard, but as always I grew to love them. They knew what I expected and I knew what their reactions to things would be. It was familiar and it will be missed for sure. But, while I will miss them, the fall brings a new group to work with which is part of the fun.

The gym packed with all the families and students. It is quite the ordeal for fifth grade continuation, the kids definitely get spoiled.
Two of the girls that were quite special- I cannot wait to see what they do in life.
And once the chaos was done and all the kids had gone home, I went back to my desk to wrap things up. Stuck to the side of my desk were many notes in masking tape reminding me again of why I love what I do.
