With our little girl set to arrive next week, it seems only appropriate that her room be completed. We worked hard to get all the right touches into her little space.
We went with a soft mint color. We wanted it to be subtle, but also bright for her.
This is what you see when you walk in- the crib is missing the crib skirt which is coral. Curt's mom is working on that piece for us.
We did mint, coral, and gold as our colors. Apparently they are the most popular colors this year for a nursery. Oh well, we love it! And we love the polka dots on the ceiling, makes it so fun!
This is her picture wall. The unicorns are from my room growing up- two my grandma hand painted and one is made of Mt. St. Helen's ash in which I gave my other grandma when I was small. She has the same print as Cedric for the "Child of God" poster and then I made her the scrapbook page. Also, the teddy bear print is from my old room :)
I made a tissue garland in gold and white to go above the crib.
This is the other side of her room. Above the closet is a rose garland. I saw it in a friends daughters room and loved it, well she had extra and gave it to us. It is perfect for up there!
Her room seems so girlie compared to Cedric's room. I love the dresses that are hanging on the wall for now.
Her closet- we redid it so that it was not as "old". We put a shelving system down the middle and hung 2 rods on this side. It seems so fresh....and so pink!
Last, we have the fingerprint tree which is a family tree. Cedric's is FINALLY complete after two years. Hers will take awhile. We get each family member- great aunts/uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents to put their finger on here. It is fun to see how her family branches out.
That's her room! hopefully she will join it soon!
