This kid and I are officially on summer break. We have about 10 weeks of just the two of us hanging out each day.
It is so amazing to be able to hang out and go to the park. To just play in the backyard all day and have nowhere to go.
And thus far, this kid has slept like a champ for the beginning to summer. He goes to bed around 8 and wakes up around 7. Then, for the past three days he has taken 3 hour naps. Now this seems a little excessive, but I am not going to complain.
We play outside with our cars and trucks. I even introduced him to buckets of water and sponges that seem to keep him entertained. Especially when he figured out he could dunk his head.
His train set keeps him focused for at least 45 minutes inside. He loves to build the track and take the train all over the room. I love the sound of his little voice saying, "Choo, choo!" over and over again.
As always, we have been doing a fair few projects with the long weekend and baby girl coming in August. That means Cedric loves to steal his daddy's tools and help.
Summer bliss is upon us :)
(Just don't ruin it by telling the kid at the end of the 10 weeks of summer he is getting a baby sister who he has to share attention with. I am not sure he is ready for that reality check!)
