There is no denying the fact that Curt and I love to get doughnuts. We prefer good ones- from good shops that are more 'specialty' like in Walla Walla there is Rogers Bakery, delicious. Or, when we visit friends in Seattle, there is Top Pot Doughnuts, yum!
In Colorado, we always just end up at the grocery store when we want doughnuts which are not he preferred kind. Recently, a well known Portland doughnut shop opened up here, we were shocked but could not wait to go. On Sunday, we went to VooDoo Doughnuts. While there, we didn't get just 3 doughnuts, but we got 37. Let me explain.
VooDoo has to get rid of doughnuts that have been on the shelf for more than 5 hours. They don't like the idea of throwing them away so instead they fill a bucket and sell a bucket of doughnuts for $8. Curt was so excited to buy a bucket of doughnuts so we did. We ended up with all of this.
Good thing Matt and Cally were home and could help us eat them, we could not even make a dent in it. Although, the kids were super excited about their choices.
Cedric thought it was the best deal ever. His doughnut was demolished and he didn't want to let go of it in fear of us taking it.
Love this kid!
Matt decided to capture what happens when you take a doughnut away from this kid. First picture, crying because he didn't want to have it taken away. Second picture, it was returned, he is calming down a bit. And third picture, back to happy baby!
