Living Room Redone!

We do not do well in just moving into a home and making no changes. Curt has been hard at work these past 6 months remodeling certain aspect of our home.

So far, we have redone a terrible bathroom, repainted Cedric's room, the hall and our bathroom, and now the living room is near complete. Here is a few before and afters:
Here was our before with the living room. It felt dark because of the red brick wall that was the fireplace. We wanted a gas fireplace that we could easily turn on and get the room warm. Also, we wanted to lighten things up. You cannot tell, but the walls were paneling and a pinkish white color.
Curt worked hard- he started with re-drywalling the whole room. After that we picked the paint color and went for a light grey. For the fireplace, Curt tiled around with granite and built the mantle with trim pieces. The cabinets are from IKEA and eventually will be built in with crown molding on top.
Another huge reason we did this was because we wanted the TV cords put away. Now there is nothing for Cedric to grab. We have loved how bright it feels and how much we love the room now.
And because I love the Christmas baby- He is enjoying his stalking.

More pictures to come on the other projects as we get time to take the pictures.
