Someone I know the other day asked a great question- when we give thanks on Thanksgiving is it because we are truly thankful or because we say what we know we should.
Thinking of that, I wanted to put together my list this year-
1. I am so thankful for the little stud. He makes me so happy each day. The fact that only a year ago he was snuggling and sleeping mostly to now where he won't sit still. I totally treasured the moment this morning when the little guy walked up to me and sat on my lap while I did laundry. He sat there for a good 10 minutes and I didn't want to jinx it. Also, I love that he now gives kisses- he just leans in and puckers his lips. So amazing!
With him, the list is endless on how thankful we are for him in our lives. He is so awesome!
2. Our little family- we have had a great year this year. I love spending time just the three of us and enjoying being together. We laugh a lot and do what we can to help him grow. In regards to Curt, I think he is the best thing ever. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't in my life encouraging me, laughing with me, and just picking up the other end of life.
3. I am thankful for our families- the more I talk to others the more I see that our family (Olsons/Klundts) are unique. We see them so much and always know that they will help us out and make us dinner.
4. I am thankful for nieces and nephews- so much joy comes from these kids! And, another on the way makes the joy keep coming!
5. Friends- we are so blessed with friends. I have the amazing, Rachel and Sara who I am so thankful we spent time with this year. I have the great Karen when always makes time for us when we fly into Spokane. These are forever friends. I think of my college roommate Debbie, my new friends from work in the last few years, Jen and Kathryn, and I think of the amazing group of college friends we are surrounded with. I am thankful Cedric is growing up knowing Tim and Noah and that the two of them have brought around Shirene and Kaleigh. We are so blessed.
6. I am thankful for a job I love- I love my job, I love my class, and I love the people I work with. I have a great new team and we are learning from each other and that adds some excitement to my day. I love the kids I see each day and that they make me smile in their joy in reading and being challenged (and that they want more Harry Potter).
7. I am thankful for our new home- we moved this year and it was a hard choice but a great one. Curt has worked so hard on remodeling again. Soon I shall show pictures of a new bathroom, living room, and some new color choices. It is becoming ours.
That shall be all for now. Enjoy your thanksgiving!
