Last week our school did spirit week.
On Friday, the class was to decide a class match idea.
Well, it being close to Halloween and us just finishing Harry Potter, the only logical idea for us was to dress in yellow and red (Gryffindor colors) and make Harry Potter glasses and wands. Here is what I got from the kids:

These are my friends all ready for Harry Potter. They have their wands out and everything.
We also watched the movie that day and enjoyed playing on the scholastic website.
These two went all out for the event (love them!)
I have now introduced my fifth class to Harry Potter. They want to read the second one so we will do that between now and Christmas. I love when they are excited to read and want to do activities that actually help them be better readers (yet they think it is just fun). I love this time of year!
