Progress

As some of you know, we decided to remodel our basement this summer. First it looked like this:

This was the panelling around the room in the basement. You cannot see the orange carpet in this picture. But, it was not pretty down there and really dark. That is what was still up in July right before Steph's wedding.

Since then, we have moved the heating system, taken out a wall to make a bigger bedroom, taken all the carpeting out, and had drains and windows changed up. Here is where we stand today:

This is with the panelling down and the wal out between the living room and bedroom. They are sitll working on the framing. To the left is the closet. The window in the middle is the one they took out and made into an egress one.

We had a hole in our floor as they moved the bathroom plumbing. It was a lot of dirt in the bathroom area. Now though, we have the shower in the right spot and the toilet moved to its new home.
This is the video of the guys finally getting the concrete out of the house. It was 8 inches think and a 56 x 56 inches around. It was a huge hole in the wall! We are glad they were strong enough to hit it out and break it up. Thanks guys!

Now, with the egress window in and the window wel. The next part is to finish framing and then drywall up! We are excited! We will post more progress as we go. It will be nice to have done, which will probably be in Novemeber.
